Our Mission is to increase awareness, support and utilization of the Glencoe Golf Club facilities and to support the continued improvement of this unique community asset.
The Friends of the Glencoe Golf Club, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established in 2019 to support the Glencoe Golf Club. Friends organization helps to raise awareness and support for the Golf Club, its facilities, and the amenities that our unique public space offers to the community. The Friends board is currently working on raising funds for a new clubhouse. The Friends Board and volunteers are comprised of golfers, Glencoe community members and Village leadership—all focused on enhancing the Golf Club as a community asset for everyone.
Glencoe has always been a civic-minded community, with thoughtful investments in spaces and projects like Writers Theatre, our revitalized downtown, the nationally recognized Historical Society, top-notch park district properties, and so many others. With every new project, Glencoe becomes a more vibrant and interconnected Village, strengthening its status as a premiere destination for life and culture on the North Shore.
Although the golf course itself has seen great improvement, it has been recognized for some time that there is a fundamental need to address the serious deficits of a clubhouse that is over 100 years old as well as maintenance facilities that are well beyond their expected life. The current facilities do not mirror the quality of the course nor do they provide offerings commensurate with either business growth or golfer expectations for golf course amenities. The buildings also do not enable the Club to offer broader non-golfing amenities to the Glencoe community at large
